Day 2: Vienna
The day begins with a tour of Mozart-related sights such as the apartment in which he lived and the Mozarthaus, a center devoted to the life and works of Mozart. In the afternoon, you’ll tour Vienna’s significant historical sights, such as the Ringstrasse with its magnificent buildings – the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Natural History. You’ll also see the Parliament, the Burgtheater, and the Votive Church. The Highlight of this tour will be the Schönbrunner Palace, once a residence of the Habsburg family and Maria Theresa, mother of Marie Antoinette.

Day 3: Vienna
In the morning, you’ll take a guided tour of the Vienna State Opera. Then later, discover the delightful features of the city center on a guided stroll. You’ll start with the Imperial Crypt, the burial site of the Habsburgs then continue on to the Hofburg Palace, the famous residence of Empress Elizabeth. You’ll have the opportunity to watch the training of the world famous Lipizzaner horses, followed by a visit to St. Stephens Cathedral. For the evening, you can opt to attend a concert of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

Day 4: Vienna
In the morning, you can attend Mass with the Vienna Boys’ Choir or a gala performance of the Lippizan horses of the Spanish Riding School. After dinner, you’ll go to the Schönbrunner to attend a concert of Mozart overtures, arias and duets from Don Giovanni, the Marriage of Figaro and The Magic Flute along with Strauss waltzes and polkas.

Day 5: Vienna – Salzburg
A three-hour train ride through the Austrian countryside will bring you to Salzburg.  After checking into your hotel and taking a rest, you will attend an evening Concert to hear the music of Mozart while enjoying recipes from Mozart’s time.

Day 6: Salzburg
With your guide, you'll see the Schawarzstrasse, the Mozarteum, the Marionette Theatre, the County Theatre and Mozart's Residence. You'll also admire the Church of the Holy Trinity, built in the baroque style. Next it’s on to the Frohnburg Palace and the fortress Hohensalzburg.

Day 7: Salzburg
Relive the true story of the Von Trapp family, the inspiration for the movie the 'Sound of Music'. After enjoying the breathtaking views of the countryside, you’ll visit the Palace of Hellbrunn, the Palace of Leopoldskron (the family home), and the Abbey of Nonnberg (where Maria and the Baron were married and Maria was a novice). Other highlights include: Mirabell Gardens (where Maria and the children sang 'Do-Re-Mi'), the Venetian Room used as the ballroom, St. Gilgen, Lake Wolfgang (where the movie's opening was filmed), and the village of Salzkammergut.
