Der Nussknacker (The Nutcracker) at the Semperoper

The Semperoper features a traditional production of the popular Christmas ballet with themes specific to Dresden. First performed in St. Petersburg in the late 19th century, the story follows a girl who, after helping to defeat the battling mice, journeys to a colorful world of sweet treats and sweet dreams with a nutcracker that has come to life.
