The Arena di Verona in Italy, the third largest Roman amphitheater still in existence, presents its 2020 summer season of opera opening in June. The Arena does not disappoint. It is renowned for its superb acoustics and for staging large-scale productions. The Arena di Verona presents a new staging of Pietro Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana and Ruggero Leoncavallo's Pagliacci.
