Berlin: Deutsche Oper Berlin

The Deutsche Oper Berlin first opened in 1912 with Beethoven's 'Fidelio'. After bombs destroyed it in the second world war, it was rebuilt and reopened in 1961 with a performance of Mozart's 'Don Giovanni'. The opera house features an austere architectural style from the exterior to the auditorium.
