If you just can’t fit an evening or weekend concert into your trip to Europe, consider a lunchtime performance. The Royal Opera House in London and the Opera Bastille in Paris offer weekday concerts that are free to the public.

Lunchtime Recitals
The Royal Opera’s free chamber music performances feature members of the Royal Opera House Orchestra, Jette Parker Young Artists Programme, and the Royal Opera Chorus.
Collect tickets in person at the box office on the morning of the performance. All shows are held at 1 PM in the Crush Room. Upcoming performance dates are as follows:

ROHJAZZ Lunchtime Line-Up
The Royal Opera also has live jazz with the Malcolm Edmonstone Trio, members of the Royal Opera House Orchestra, and local guest artists. Shows begin at 12 PM and are held in Floral Hall. Upcoming performance dates are:

Casse-Croûte à L'Opéra (A Snack at the Opera)
The Paris Opera presents chamber music concerts, discussions, and documentaries on Thursdays at 1 PM at the Opera Bastille. Performances feature musicians from the Paris Opera Orchestra as well as internationally recognized artists. While the concert is free, the light lunch, which you can buy at the theater, will only set you back about $9. Concert dates are as follows:
