Teatro alla Scala Costume Exhibit in Milan

Through the end of the summer, Teatro alla Scala opera house will be displaying its exquisite stage costumes in a special exhibition at Palazzo Morando in Milan, Italy.

La Scala is renowned for the beauty and craftsmanship of its costumes, often hand-made in the opera's own workshops using traditional methods. The exhibition features costumes from La Scala opera and ballet productions, such as Don Carlo, Il trovatore, Cosi fan tutte, Lucia di Lammermoor, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Un ballo in maschera, Die Zauberflote, Orfeo ed Euridice, Tosca, Tannhauser, Faust, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, and Coppelia

Palazzo Morando, the exhibition site, is part of the Museum of Milan and Contemporary History Museum.
